Services for Parents and Children
The professional staff at Adoption Options provides a full range of services to help families prepare for, complete, and adjust to adoption. We work with birth parents, adoptive parents, and children to help them understand their options and make informed choices for their future.
Help with All Facets of Adoption
Our adoption services help families that wish to adopt or place a child throughout the adoption process:
- Information, resources, and supportive counseling before, during, and after the adoption process.
- Home studies to prepare for domestic or international adoption.
- Domestic placement of infants.
- Coordination of services with other placement agencies, facilitators, and adoption attorneys.
In addition, placement of infants born in Rhode Island and Massachusetts is available to families for whom we have completed a home study. More information about the Adoption Options domestic placement program is available upon request.
We offer regular informational meetings that are free and open to anyone interested in exploring adoption choices. Meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of each month from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the Providence Adoption Options office at 959 North Main Street. If you would like to attend an informational meeting, please contact us to confirm the dates and times.
