Jewish Family Service offers a variety of services for individuals and families. These are:
JFSRI offers a comprehensive counseling program. The clinical staff of the agency, all of whom have Master's Degrees in Social Work and are licensed by the State of RI, provides therapy to individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents, and the elderly and their families. Problems addressed include depression, anxiety, marriage, divorce, parenting, adolescence, stress, grief, relationships and work-related issues. Family Life Education for groups or individuals are held periodically.
JFSRI provides trained and licensed Certified Nursing Assistants to assist the sick, the elderly or the temporarily disabled at home. The goal is to enable these individuals to maintain their independence. Help is provided for personal care and meal preparation with special attention given to kashruth, if applicable. All CNA's have successfully completed training courses and examinations approved by the Department of Health and are supervised by RN's.

The JFSRI Nutrition Services include a Kosher Mealsite in Cranston that offers participants a hot kosher meal and an opportunity to socialize five days a week, Monday-Friday. A variety of programming is offered from 11 to 12 daily, with a meal served at noon. Meals are provided by Accounting for Taste, a local kosher catering company. Programming includes lecture and film series, health checks, bingo, exercise and weekly men and women only discussions groups led by the staff of JFSRI. Nutrition Services also participates with Meals on Wheels to provide meals to those who cannot get to our mealsite. Residents of Cranston and Warwick are eligible for transportation.
JFSRI administers Moes Chitim (Money for Wheat), the annual Passover appeal. In addition to a community Seder, funds for Seders are given anonymously to others whose financial situation makes them unable to afford Passover food.
